Over
the years, SGVF professorial chairs have been granted
to faculty members who have excelled in their fields
of expertise while teaching in academic institutions.
The chairholders, whom the Foundation normally selects
on the basis of recommendations by the school administration,
are required to prepare proposals of their research
activities for the year and inaugural lectures or reports
on areas of study that have a significant impact on
the country's economy. The chairholders are encouraged
to design and conduct innovative and development-oriented
courses.
