Co-Sponsorship of Regional Professional Conferences

One opportunity for professionals and students to gain new and practical knowledge in their own disciplines and to remain up to date on developments in their respective fields is to participate in professional conferences. Recognizing this, the SGVF in 1976 decided to fully or partially sponsor regional professional conferences. The decision to hold these conferences in and for specific regions ran parallel to the Foundation's policy to make its project accessible to persons who would otherwise not be able to avail themselves of these projects.

Assistance was given in to professional groups and knowledgeable persons wishing to exchange views on significant issues.
