High School Scholarship: Dagatan Family Farm Schools
High School Scholarship: Dagatan Family Farm Schools
In 1990, the SGVF established a high-school scholarship grant at the Dagatan Family Farm Schools a project of the Pampamilyang Paaralang Agriculture, Inc. The family farm school method of teaching enables the students and their parents who are also their co-students to learn modern methods of farming suitable to the specific needs of their family farm.

Faculty Development and Apprenticeship Programs

The SGVF established the faculty development program in 1976 in recognition of the significant role that teachers play in development and of the need for faculty members to constantly improve their skills through teaching, research, or extension service.

Assistance was provided to teachers who participated in educational programs in various fields of industrial
and management services
to improve their teaching
methods.

The Foundation started its apprenticeship program for selected students. the objective of the program was to incalcate the SGV culture in promising students.

The following schools were the recipients of the SGVF Faculty Development Programs:

  • Cagayan State University
  • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila

  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines
  • Southeas Asian Institute for the Deaf, Inc.
  • St. Louis University
  • Kalahan Educational Foundation, Inc.
  • Miriam Adult Education Program

The Foundation approximately spent P600,000 for this project.
