Projects Committee Executive Director, SGV Foundation

Ms. Samson is the Executive Director of the SGV Foundation, Inc. and a Project Consultant of SGV & Co. She is also the Honorary Chancellor of the Austrian Consulate.

She previously worked as the Senior Director of Administration at SGV for almost 10 years. She has received numerous awards, namely the SyCip Award in 1996; the Special Award in 1986, 1995 and 2001; and the ASLP Service Award in 1988. At SGV, she has been recognized for her pioneering efforts in establishing policies on retention, storage and disposal of files in SGV’s Records Management Section (RMS); streamlining procedures for the Report Production Services unit to cut down overtime work; and re-engineering operations in the units she handled. She spearheaded innovations such as the creation of the Mailroom Database, the RMS Online Inquiry and Request System, the SGV Online News, and the SGV Foundation website and brochure. She helped raise funds for the W. Sycip Graduate School of Business ($4 million target) in 2000 and the UST-AMV College of Accountancy (P49 million pledge) in 2006.

Ms. Samson also worked as Supervising Librarian and Instructor at the Centro Escolar University. She is a certified Instructor from the Arthur Andersen Center for Professional Education in St. Charles, Illinois, USA. She is also a Professional Librarian and has MBA units from Ateneo de Manila University, and has been a resource person to speak, lecture or train on specific library requirements and trends. She is also an active member of the Christ’s Commission Fellowship.
