Undergraduate and Scholarships

This program was designed to allow a greater number of needy but deserving students to go to school. Financial need is considered only when all else is equal among all the scholarship applicants. The most important considerations in the selection of grantees are the need for manpower development for strategic sectors of the economy and for specific geographical areas, and the need for the professional advancement of members of cultural minority groups.

ACCOUNTING, MANAGEMENT AND RELATED FIELDS

The Foundation extended to 15 accounting students PhP 631, 815 for the tuition fees, book allowances, and stipends. Five are now reviewing for the CPA board examinations.

COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Foundation supported the studies of two Electrical and Communications Engineering students at the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
The SGV Foundation and the Mapua Institute of Technology signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) last 23 June, allocating PhP 2 million for a scholarship grant.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The Foundation donated PhP 120, 000 to the Don Bosco Youth Center. Ten out-of-school youths were given a year-long technical training course through the grant.
